Educational Trust

The Glenwood High School Educational Trust plays a vital role in the well being of the School. It was established under the careful and expert guidance of then Headmaster, Mr Mike Maher, and has grown into a most useful facility for the development of the School as a whole.

The most recent project is the funding of the R2 million Mike Turrell Pavilion and the main room in the Pavilion is named The Glenwood High School Educational Trust Room for its substantial donation of R100 000.00 to the development.

I am most pleased to say that Mr Mike Maher is back on the Trust as a Trustee and we look forward to working with him.

Glenwood High School is one of the leading High School's for boys in South Africa, and, I can assure you, can take its pupils anywhere in the world and compete against the world's best on either an academic level or a sporting level.

Victor Daitz Science Centre Opened

The Victor Daitz Science Centre was officially opened by Mr B. Moshal and Mr A Benn on Tuesday evening in the presence of so many friends of Glenwood. The facility boasts state-of-the-art technical equipment as well as individual ecosystems within the centre. The boys and Teachers will certainly make the most of this new facility.

The Science Centre is nearing completion and the official opening is next Tuesday evening. We thank, most sincerely, the Victor Daitz Foundation for their generous sponsorship of the centre. Well done to Mrs Barnes, Mr Pinheiro and the Team for their efforts.
