It is Athletics season at Glenwood at the moment and the boys seemed to have enjoyed the opportunity to participate fully in the programme.
I addressed a National Education Deptment meeting on Thursday evening at Glenwood and told them that there must have been nearly 650 Glenwood boys involved in extramural activities that day. We had massive participation in the Athletics Field Events, we had waterpolo, squash, football and extra lessons. Well done to boys and Staff for getting out there and enjoying the facilities that we have on offer here at Glenwood.
We had an enjoyable Athletics Championship meeting on Saturday morning and some exciting junior athletes were in evidence.
We have to develop athleticism in our youth at all costs! If we don't they will take the easy option and lead sedentary lifestyles which can lead to all sorts of health-related problems.
Thanks to all involved on the day. There is still much to do but I can see promise.
Particular thanks to our special guest on the day; we go back a long way with Mr Victor Vaz.
