Chris Tite and Jayme Forget excel in the SA Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) 2017

Form VI boys, Chris Tite and Jayme Forget competed in the SA Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) during the school holidays.

The boys had to enter the competition in KZN, where they scored high enough to qualify for the SA Champs. The regional competitions took place in 2016 with the finals taking place the past holiday in Johannesburg.

As a duet they entered the acting category, competing in comedy (doing a piece from Monty Python), Dramatically (doing a scene from Of Mice and Men), Contemporary, and Open (The Butler’s Duel).

Christopher entered various piano playing and singing competitions as well.

Jayme achieved 1 silver and 2 bronze medals and Chris achieved 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

In addition both boys were selected to represent South Africa at the World Championships of Performing Arts being held in Los Angeles in June this year.

Participation in the World Championships are not sponsored by the governing, thus the boys need to raise funds to attend this competition.

Chris has setup a crowd funding account which can be found here:

Phillipa Tite is offering a voucher for all donations over R500 (see attached).
