Glenwood visited DHS on Saturday for their second meeting of the year. Glenwood won the toss and decided to bat on a good looking pitch. Glenwood played well but two run-outs including that of D Browne(66) when they were poised to go on the attack limited Glenwood to 208 for 9 in their 50 overs.

 

With a small total on the board Glenwood needed early wickets but this never really happened. Fielding in the end being the downfall for Glenwood as Roberts and Frost with a good partnership got DHS into a winning position. A few late wickets gave Glenwood a chance. Six runs were needed off the last over and DHS finally got home on the last ball.

 

It was a disappointing end to the season for Glenwood who lost their only game to Durban opposition on Saturday. Glenwood starts preparing for the 2010 season on Monday with next year being the school’s Centenary year.
