The annual School Play formed part of the Creativity Festival weekend and credit must be given to Mrs Hampton for producing a tight script for the young performers, and congratulations must certainly be given to the young actors and backstage crew. Special thanks to the front of house Staff and Parents.
We continue to receive positive reports about the School Musical. It is very rewarding to hear the positive comments about the School's strong musical and acting talents.
The 2010 School Musical came to an end last night and Mrs Hampton must be congratulated on putting together an outstanding production.
Mrs Hampton wrote and directed the musical and it was an excellent depiction of Glenwood's first 100 years.
Well done to the cast and backstage crew; you were great!
Please find below a report on the Festival:
Saturday saw Glenwood transformed for its first Creativity Festival. The theme of the Festival was 'Cultures of the World' and there were numerous stalls selling food items related to specific countries. The Matric Quad and Tuck Shop area were transformed into a flea market.
I found another interesting article on the upcoming film, Spud, in a magazine earlier today.
Personally, I cannot wait to see the final product on the big screen!
Glenwood boys, J Royal and B Langley receive good reviews in the article.

The Rainbow Young Performers presented the hit Broadway Musical 'Hairspray' at the Sneddon Theatre this year.
I really enjoyed the performance (again) and I always sit in awe when I see the talent that KwaZulu-Natal (and South Africa) has at its disposal.
I can recommend a visit to the Sneddon as soon as possible.
It was wonderful to see another SPUD casting in the Daily News earlier this week. Tyronne Bright of Form IIB heard this week that he had won an opportunity to be part of the cast of SPUD alongside the other 2 Glenwood boys already cast.
Well done.
Glenwood boys, Jamie Royal (who will play Gecko) and Byron Langley (Simon) have been cast in the upcoming film version of the best-selling books, 'Spud'.
Rehearsals will start in March and will continue for 3 months.
Well done to the boys and I look forward to enjoying the film (with John Cleese in the lead role) as much as the books!
