First National Banks Outreach Support

First National Bank were recently guests at the Glenwood High School Assembly to hand over a cheque to the school for its outreach programme. Glenwood have over the past year been conducting the Smile Programme at the School which entails primary schools from the townships being bussed in and treat to a afternoon of fun learning and educational games with some of the Glenwood staff and Grade 11 pupils.

'The Smile Programme has taken off so well and we are very happy to be able to provide teaching to these youngsters and a meal' said Head Councillor at Glenwood Mrs Andri Barnes.

An extra year of the programme has been made available by the generous donation of R11 700 by First National Bank. Branch Manager at Davenport Mr Gary Keppler and Senior Relationship Manager Mr Martin Becker attended assembly at Glenwood to hand over the cheque to Headmaster Mr Trevor Kershaw and Smile participants Caleb Charles and Brett Sibson.
