Glenwood High School is a Proudly South African School and is also proud of being part of the City of Durban and of the Province, KwaZulu-Natal. As such, we have decided to reintroduce a formal Flag raising Ceremony, with Trumpeter, each Monday at 07H45 and on Friday at 14H15 to honour our Country's Flag.
Each Form II class will be used as an Honour Guard during the week and the Head Prefect will raise and lower the Flag. The Headmaster will explain the significance of the event to the boys.
It is many years since the grassed areas in front of the School's main facade has been used for a formal function and I am pleased that this tradition has been reintroduced. Patriotism shown towards our Country, Province, City and School are important aspects of our School's proud history.
