Day 1 - Johannesburg – Dubai

Saturday  7 June

19h05 – Depart from South Africa on your flight EK 764 to Moscow via Dubai

 

Day 2 - Dubai – Moscow

Sunday  28 June

05h05 – Arrive at Dubai International Airport.

09h30 – DepartDubaiInternationalAirport on flight EK 133

14h40 – Arrive at Moscow International Airport. After arrival in Moscow you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel where you will stay for the next two nights.

Day 3 - Moscow

Monday 29 June

10h00 – After breakfast embark on your city tour of Moscow.

11h00 – Tour of history museum

12h00 – Red Square with St Basil’s Cathedral (Lunch break in GUM)

(Lenin’s Mausoleum, History Tour Museum, Kazan Cathedral, Tsar Bell, Alexander Gardens with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Kilometer 0)

13h30 – Depart for The Kremlin tour with Armory Chamber (14h30)

(Palace of Congresses, Cathedral square with the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, Faberge Eggs)

On the way – Monument to Peter the Great

16h30 – 18h00 – Novodevichy Convent and Cemetery

On the way – Observation Platforms of the University

19h00 – Return to hotel

Day 4 - Moscow – Berlin

Tuesday 30 June

08h00 - Breakfast at hotel

After breakfast embark on your second day exploring the city of Moscow.

09h00 – Leave for tour ofHill of Glory

10h00 – 11h00 – Tour of the Museum of Great Patriotic War.

12h00 – 14h00 – Tour of Tretyakov picture gallery (need to have student ID – letter)

15h00 – Transfer to the airport at a suitable time

17h10 – Depart Moscow on your flight AB 8353 to Berlin - Tegel

17h55 – Arrive in Berlin

18h00 – Transfer to your hostel where you will be staying for the next two nights – Time for a small first tour by bus through Berlin

Day 5 - Berlin

Wednesday 1 July

Breakfast at leisure

Today you will go on a guided City Tour of Berlin where you will see:

Brandenburg Gate, Reichstagsgebaude, War Victims Memorial, Berlin Wall, Denkmal Fur die Ermordeten Juden Europas and CheckPointCharlie.

Day 6 - Berlin – Paris

Thursday 2 July

Breakfast at leisure

This morning you will visit the Hackescher Market

14h00 (Be there at 13h50) – Later today you will visit the astounding Topography of Terror with your local guide

Meeting point: Ausstellungspavillon / VisitorCenter, Niederkirchnerstraße 8, 10963 Berlin, Tel.: 030 25486703.

The bus driver knows the entry and place of meeting for this meeting.

This evening you will take an overnight train from  Hauptbahnhof Berlin (main station), 19h58 pm to Paris

(City Night Line 450), 6-bedded-cabins

Day 7 - Paris

Friday 3 July

09h30 – Arrival into Paris

Today you will be able to explore this amazing city.

Your city tour by bus will include:

Arch of Triumph (with the tomb of the Unknown Soldier), the Palais de Chaillot overlooking the Eiffel Tower (over 100 years old), the Military school, Invalides (where Napoleon is buried), the bridge of Alexander III, the Concorde Square (where Marie Antoinette was beheaded). Then follow the Seine River to discover the Notre Dame Cathedral (a masterpiece of the 13th century and the most famous cathedral of France).  

This afternoon you will have the option to ascend the Eiffel Tower for the most spectacular view of Paris. (optional)

Day 8 - Paris

Saturday 4 July

Breakfast at leisure

Today you will visit the LouvreMuseum, home of the famous Mona Lisa as well as the Venus of Milo.

Late this afternoon you will have a chance to go to the Bohemian Montmartre, close to the Sacré-Coeur, with dozens of petit street cafés and a square with artists from all over the world – showing off their exceptional talent! (entry to Sacre –Coeur – not included, tbc)

5 Days METRO PASS (valid from Sat 4 until Wed 8)

Day 9 - Paris

Sunday 5 July

Breakfast at leisure

You will have a full free day at leisure to explore the wonderful sights Paris has to offer.

This evening you could go and watch a Broadway show, enjoy an Opera or perhaps go on a dinner cruise down the Seine River (own account).

Day 10 - Paris

Monday 6 July

Breakfast at leisure

08h30 – Today you will visit Euro Disney, included is a 1-day 1-park entrance pass, including bus service.

Tuesday 7 July

Breakfast at leisure

You will have a full free day at leisure to explore the wonderful sights Paris has to offer.

Recommended visit to the Catacombs of Paris (not included +- 5€)

Day 12 - Paris - via Dubai - Johannesburg

Wednesday 8 July

Breakfast at leisure (Check out and leave luggage at hostel)

Enjoy some last minute shopping.

18h30 – Transfer to the airport for your return flight to South Africa

21h50 – Depart on flight EK 76 to Johannesburg via Dubai.

 

Day 13 - Johannesburg

Thursday 9 July

06h20 – Arrive at DubaiInternationalAirport

10h15 – Depart on flight EK 763 to Johannesburg

16h25 – Arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport
