DAY/NIGHT D&D HOCKEY LEAGUE

In an interesting and entertaining game played at the Queensmead Astroturf on Friday night 30 April, the Glenwood 1st XI scored four (4) goals in the first half and another three(3) goals in the second half , to convincingly overpower a competitive Crawford College 1st XI. The territorial dominace by the Glenwood team was so empahtic that the Glenwood goalkeeper touched the ball once during the game. Nashlyn Pather scored three goals from his attacking position down the left wing and SA U17 Captain and Glenwood Captain of Hockey, Sumanth Sunkari was able to control matters from the centre mid-field, freeing up his strikers to add the extra goals. Thomas Knipe had a solid and strong game in his role as central defender. The Glenwood 1st XI played very well indeed and deserved this hard-fought victory, as they took control right from the beginning. Well done to players and Coaches.
