The KZNCU held its capping ceremony yesterday afternoon and the Glenwood representatives were in fine form.
What was also particularly pleasing for me was the fact that no fewer that 5 Glenwood boys have qualified as professional scorers and they will be doing duty at the various interprovincial cricket weeks in December.
We also had the final of the GPL on Friday afternoon and it was a very tight affair. The winning team will be featured next week.
On Saturday morning, the interhouse Cricket finals took place and Gibson ran out eventual winners.
On Sunday the annual Staff Cricket Challenge took place, and the Webber Force side dominated the Slabbert XI. With Mr Hortop as the Chief unpire, some interesting decisions were made. At one stage, Mr Hortop's poor eyesight failed to alert him to the fact that Mr Louw was actually at the crease waiting to bat! A most enjoyable day was had by all.
Well done to all concerned.
