Luchtime concert in the Palm Courtyard

 

 

Spring has arrived, and last week the Staff and boys were treated to a lunchtime concert under the palm trees in the southern courtyard. Mr  Stengel and the school band entertained us all with a selection of items including Tuxedo Junction, Gimme Hope Joanna, When the Saints go Marching In, Stand by Me, Beautiful Girls and World in Union.  The band got going and the boys and staff arrived to listen. Members of staff came out of the Staffroom to join the appreciative audience. When the band came to the end of their program they received a loud applause and cries for more! A lovely interlude in a normal school day! It is amazing what talent is hiding along the corridors and in the classrooms. It was exciting to see boys display their talents and the appreciation of the audience.

 

Well done to the Band and Mr Stengel. We hope to see (and hear) much more of this music in the very heart of the School!.
