Mathematics Department update.

 Mathematics Report – 2012 Term 1

On the 19^th March 2012, 116 boys wrote the first round of the Harmony Gold Mathematics Olympiad. This was a record number of entries for Glenwood. 50 boys qualified to write the second round which will be written on the 23^rd May 2012.

Glenwood hosted a Workshop which was run by AMESA. This was held to prepare learners for the 1^st round of the SAMO and was an initiative from AMESA.

Chris Brunsdon, Gr 11, is a participant in the SAMO national online Training Programme. On 6/3/2012, he was ranked 3^rd among the participants in this section.
