Business Studies Report 2006

2006 has been a great year for the Business Economics department. At the beginning of the year we kept our full staff compliment and are very pleased to see that we all go forward into 2007. Our team consists of Ms J. Adams (Subject Head), Mr M. Scott, Mr D. Chalmers and Mr G. Bowker.

The end of 2005 was our best year ever regarding final matric results and we are confident that our young men are going to grow from strength to strength. We must congratulate our 2005 pupils, we are proud of all of you and sincerely hope that the business section of the newspaper holds new meaning.

Our 2006 pupils have also been a fantastic group of young men. Congratulations go to Kamil Rathilal and Matthew Butler-Adams on their outstanding results. At Glenwood we believe that we need to get our pupils out into the "real world" as often as possible and they have had many exciting experiences. All our Business Studies staff are FET competent and have completed many courses during the year.

Our aims for 2007 are to incorporate more business experiences and to focus on entrepreneurship. Our foundations are in place and we are looking forward to an exciting 2007.
