Grade 11 Leadership Course

The annual Grade 11 Leadership Course at T.O. Strand has just been completed. The course, which has been crafted and developed over the past several years, was substantially modified this year. While the principal purpose remains the same, certain critical aspects of leadership have now been highlighted and the emphasis of the course has been slightly revised.

Mr. Grant Maartens

Mr. Richard van Dam and Mr. Grant Maartens have put in a great deal of thought and effort to ensure the continued success of the course and to implement the modifications. In this they have been assited by Mr. Grant Robertson, a lecturer from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia, who has come out to be a part of the Grade 11 Leadership Programme. Grant is himself a Glenwood Old Boy, a former staff member and one of the originators of the Glenwood Leadership courses and is currently completeing Doctoral studies in Leadership.

The course was a great success, enjoyed by boys and staff alike. It's sure to be a highlight for many, of their time at Glenwood. The following pictures give some impression of the course.
