Preparing for the river crossing!
The grade 8's set off for their leadership course, hosted by the Natal Mounted Rifles, on the 2nd day of the new school year. The main aim of the course is to bond with new schoolmates and learn the various school songs and the War Cry. The boys camped in the NMR grounds and conducted their activites around the Umgeni river mouth and the mangrove swamps. On return to the school they performed the War Cry in front of their proud parents and shook the hand of Senior Deputy Headmaster Mr Tony Pinheiro and then rung the bell signifying their induction into the Glenwood family.
