In the second half of the year Glenwood High School participated in the UKZN League. Although this is a much smaller League in comparison with the Durban Coastal Debating League, it has traditionally proved rather challenging as the debaters are encouraged to begin to debate in a higher age group in preparation for the following year. All the Glenwood teams did extremely well with their Senior team, comprising Matthew Butler-Adam, Owen Khumalo and Christopher Wood, making it through to the finals.

Glenwood were up against a very competent DHS team, in a debate on a rather challenging topic, and the Glenwood team debated with a well thought out policy and solid arguments. Their calm and controlled manner was certainly impressive and they managed to win the debate with Matthew Butler-Adam as Best Speaker.
