GLENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: PARENTS' ASSEMBLY : TERM 2 2009

15 April 2009: Assembly was opened with silent prayer and reading. The boys were welcomed back for Term 2. Headmaster welcomed Mrs Rottcher back to the staff. Very busy term so need to remain committed to sport activities and academics. Very important term for Matrics who start applying for University entrance. No late coming or absenteeism! Results: Ben vd Merwe participated in the SA 1st African Open Tae Kwon-do Championship and received a silver medal in sparring. Josh Smit and Luke Mc Cracken took part in the KZNSA Surfing Trials, Josh came 1st in the first two rounds and Luke 2nd and 5th in the same rounds. The 1st XI Hockey had a very successful tour to Pretoria Boys High for the NOMADS Tournament, they drew 3 and lost 2 of their games against top opposition in the country! The1st XI Rugby won two of their matches and lost one at the St John
