The SMILE Project

Glenwood has joined the St. Mary's Interactive Learning Experience, a non-governmental organization, called SMILE for short. This project entails the weekly visit of 48 pupils from two Durban primary schools - Gijima and Thekweni. Once at Glenwood the pupils are given lessons in conversational skills, by both teaching staff and Grade 11 Glenwood Boys. As part of Glenwood's community involvement programme, SMILE is felt to be mutually beneficial and seems to be greatly enjoyed by all involved.
