Train Trips To Pretoria and Bloemfontein

We wish to express our gratitude to all those parents who have already settled the payment for these two excursions. We urge all the remaining parents to do so before Friday 20 July 2007.

We are sure you are aware of the following details, but we just want to remind you:

Dates:

Glenwood to Pretoria (Affies): Depart at 14H00 on Friday 27 July from Durban Station and return on Sunday morning 29 July at approximately 06H00 to Durban Station.

Glenwood to Bloemfontein (Grey College): Depart at 12H30 from Durban Station on Wednesday 8 August and return on Friday morning 10 August at approximately 06H00.

The following codes will be involved in these excursions:

Rugby/ Hockey/ Tennis/ Squash/ Cross Country/ Golf/ Table Tennis/
Soccer/ Badminton/ Chess/ Debating/ Target Shooting/ Cycling/ Band

We will be making every effort to include as many teams as possible in each code. We are also aware of the fact that certain boys are involved in more than one code. The programme will be arranged in such a way as to ensure that clashes are eradicated as far as possible.

Cost:

This is R1000 per boy (each train trip = R500)

We are investigating the possibility of allocating one coach on the train to Bloemfontein for supporters. The cost is obviously the same as that for the boys. Should you be interested in travelling on the train to Grey College, please contact Dave Munro at the school.
