Dear Old Boys,
Welcome to the official pages of the Glenwood High Old Boys' Association!
We hope that this website will give you, as one of the many thousands of Glenwood High School Old Boys spread far and wide across the world, a facility whereby you can maintain a close link with your Alma Mater. Whether it is keeping updated on the latest sports results, getting in touch with a former classmate or simply wishing to rekindle some fond memories of days gone by, we trust that you will be a regular visitor. As an Association, one of our primary objectives is to promote and maintain a close relationship between members of the Association, teaching Staff of the school, both past and present, and the pupils of the school, and we are confident that the interaction that this website will allow, will help us to achieve this.
We can indeed feel proud and honoured to have attended a school such as Glenwood and I believe we have an important role to play in helping to maintain the standards of excellence at Glenwood and strive to make our school the school of choice in KwaZulu-Natal.
The centenary year of Glenwood High School in 2010 is just around the corner now and we are hoping to have the support and participation of as many of our Old Boys as possible for the celebrations/festivities that are planned for this great occasion. I appeal to all of you to help us in this cause by enrolling now as a member of the Old Boys' Association.
By submitting the application form provided on this page and paying the annual membership fees:
R120.00 for Ordinary Members
R 50.00 for Pensioners (over 60yrs) and students (under 25yrs)
R200.00 for Overseas Members,
you will receive a copy of the quarterly "Falcon" newsletter, the monthly OBA email news, the annual school magazine and invites to a variety of social functions, the highlight of which is the Annual Old Boys' weekend and dinner. Regular e-mails will also go out advising you of the results of the many activities with the school.
Most importantly, however, it will enable you to play a role in ensuring that Glenwood maintains it.s rightful place as a school of excellence in South Africa.
We look forward to welcoming you as a member of our Association and seeing you back at our school in the near future.
Should you require any further information regarding the Association or have any suggestions, please feel free to contact myself oldboys@glenwoodhighschool.co.za, or any of the Committee Members.
Yours sincerely,
Graham Oberholzer 1985
