The choir at Glenwood occupies a special place as part of the heart and soul of the school. It is a vital part of a traditional boys’ high school and thus held in high regard.
The Choir rehearses twice a week with an accomplished Choir Mistress. The Choir enjoys the opportunity to perform at various assemblies, special functions like Prizegiving. Boys are encouraged to explore their creativity by experiencing various styles of choral music.
The repertoire of the Choir is updated on a continual basis. Songs from Pharrell Williams, Sting as well as traditional choral music have all been used.
The Choir also takes part in various Choir Festivals and the in-house Cultural Weekend as well as the annual Glenwood Community Forum Weekend.
Over the years Glenwood has consistently had one or two members in the KZN Youth Choir who perform both locally and internationally.
