School safety and security.

In line with the Education Depatment's Safe Schools initiative Glenwood, once again, arranged with the local SAPS and Metro Police to conduct a thorough seach of bags, rooms and lockers with sniffer dogs. We are, once again, to announce that only one of the dogs discovered something to 'sniff at' and that was an open lunch box with a nice beef sandwich sticking out of it.

On a more serious note, it is part of our safety and security policy to protect boys and Staff here at Glenwood and so these surpise searches are important indicators for us to guage our LO programmes effectiveness wrt drugs, alcohol and weapons at school.
