Glenwood has a proud Golf tradition producing KZN Schools’ representatives since 2009. The most notable KZN Schools’ Representatives of recent years were Michael Dunlop, Ricardo Towell and Darren Walker, in 2015 the likes of Connor Stoyell and C.J. Klopper also represented KZN and most recently in 2017 Matthew Bruin and George van Vuuren.
Glenwood participates in the Durban School’s Golf league and is represented by the 1st Team in the ‘A’ Division whilst our 2nd Team participates in the ‘C’ Division. Fixtures are played on Monday afternoons and each team is made up of 8 players. The format for the fixtures is that of Matchplay and Better ball Matchplay. The Golf season extends over two Terms that being the 1st Term and 3rd Term respectively. Golf is also a key activity in the tours to schools like Framesby, Monument, Grey College and Affies and allows our players to play many different golf courses around South Africa.
Glenwood Golf is also involved in its own tours and this year participated in the Egalite High School Championships held at Sun City.
Glenwood’s Golf programme was given a tremendous boost with the introduction of our Golf Academy Programme.
