Sailing at Glenwood provides the boys with a sport that has a number of facets and teaches a number of life skills.
Sailing takes place throughout the year weather permitting. When the weather is unsuitable for practical sailing, theoretical instruction will be given. Newcomers are taught the basics of sailing and how to manage a boat on the water. Once competent and past the novice stage, boys are taught the finer details of sail trim and boat handling and are encouraged to get involved in racing. The boys who show promise are introduced to sailing a keelboat on Container World Challenge, the Point Yacht Club L26 class yacht.
Glenwood sailors are able to participate in a number of regattas throughout the year.
