Water Polo vs DHS: February 2017

Midweek fixtures are not the best for any school with the change in routine and rushing to reach the venue creating its own issues, we travelled across the Berea to play against DHS.
The U14A match was a close match. For the GLENWOOD team, set play was the priority and as such they never capitalized on the counter attack opportunities. This allowed for the Centre forward Tian and Matt van Vuuren to have strong matches. Gerrard Bernon and Jeremy Reddy too played well setting up some good defence. GLENWOOD won the match 10-4.
The U15A match was a one sided affair with Henk Gouws dominating with 6 goals. He was well supported by Jordan Dreyer. The final score was 13-2.
The 1st Team match started off as a tight contest. In the 1st quarter GLENWOOD squandered many scoring chances and took a slender 3-0 lead. Some choice instruction from the coach saw a different team from then on and the match became a one sided affair. Gabriel Stopford was in sublime form scoring 12 goals. In the end GLENWOOD won comfortably 27-2.
